    page works in FF3/IE6 or 7 but breaks in FF2 can someone help?

    the following page works fine in Firefox 3, IE 6 or 7 and safari but breaks in Firefox 2. a large percentage of the site visitors are still using firefox2 so i have to get it working for them.

    the page with the problem: http://www.cluboholic.com/cms.php?rave=c

    i validated the page and fixed quite a few problems and now i get 8 errors and 3 warnings which are all unrelated to the layout. can someone help me out with this? i cannot understand why the contact form table jumps to the right side of the page.

    the rest of the site has problems too but i picked this page to post here since its the simplest and finding a solution for it will probably help me fix the rest too.

    thanks!

    Should the Url input be on the same line as the Name input, and is the label missing?

    The validation errors I think are most that you need to use html entities in href-urls, like "&" for "&". The rest of the errors are self-explaining.

    the validation errors are all self-explanatory but i still cant see whats causing the layout shift issue

    you can see the screenshot in browsershots: http://browsershots.org/screenshots/...555aa8342ad7e/

    (the form is on the far right outside the current view)

    If I look close at the image I get the impression that the menu is keeping the table from going under it. Maybe it is a font-size matter.

    Sorry I have to leave keyboard...

    Hi,

    Here are two (or more) solutions to this.

    The first is to clear the header properly. You could do this with overflow:hidden or one of the other clearing techniques (see faq on floats).

    e.g.

    Code:
    #header {
        margin: 0;
        padding: 0;
        height: 104px;
        text-align:left;
        background-image:url(http://www.cluboholic.com/images/header_image.png);
        background-repeat:no-repeat;
    overflow:hidden;
    }
    Alternatively ensure the table is cleared.

    e.g.

    Code:
                    <li><a href="/cms.php?rave=l">Links</a></li>
                </ul>
            </div>
        </div>
        <table style="clear:both" width="778" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="0">
            <tr>
                <td valign="top"><div align="center">
    Inline styles for example only. Add a class and apply clear:both to it.

    Thanks! seems to have solved the problem. I'm looking through the FAQ to fix the rest of the site.
