    JAVA Highest Paid ?

My old work friend was on 27k a year.

He put his CV on totaljobs and monster and hes now been offered 40/50K+ from businesses.

4 job offers in 2 days

One business said if you come for the interview we'll give you an extra 5,000 a year. *NICE* hes good at his job but...

So is java the most paid job? or is it php what he does?

    Thank you,
    Adam

C#.NET and Java developers are paid well, yes.

PHP jobs are more rare and more likely to be from small shops that pay less.

compare to PHP, Java is well paid. People always talk about which programmer can write faster and blah blah blah. All I wanna know is which one will pay my bill. Sorry geeks, I'm in it for the money.

You'll do well in either Java or .NET. Your experience and abilities are more important.

a java/.net programmer will fetch between 40k and 80k AUD depending on role (developer, technical lead, senior analyst, etc) and the state you're working in.

melbourne and sydney attract the best salaries, but there is also a higher cost of living...

remember a salary is always proportional to the amount of work you will need to do...
