    Dropdown search results, anybody?

Does anybody know of any good guides on how to make AJAX dropdown search results, similar to what you see at apple.com? I've been on Google and found one or two guides but they don't expain a whole lot. I've been through the W3 tutorial once or twice and I still wouldn't have any idea where to start, I'm horrible with JS. I'd gladly just copypasta and modify what they already have at apple.com, but I can't even read JS and make much sense of it. It's just one of those things I can't figure out no matter what I do.

At the moment I'm using Google's AJAX API for my searches, but it has to have it's own page until I can get a nice little search dropdown thing like Apple.
