    splitting the top left header vertically ??

    Greetings.

    I'd like to create a layout shown as follows:

    As far as I can tell, the JWplayer wants its own container --
    at least, I can't get it to coexist with text in the same container --
    the text gets clobbered.

    I'm reasonably close (here's my current prototype), but when I resize the browser window to make the browser tall & narrow, the copyright section jumps over to the left hand side of the browser window.

    Corrections / suggestions to the correct approach welcome.

    Thanks.

    Hi expatCanuck,

    Set a min-width value to your container div.

    Code:
    #container
    {
    width: 95%;
    min-width: 960px;
    margin: 1em auto;
    background-color: #fff;
    color: #333;
    border: 1px solid gray;
    line-height: 110%;
    }

    Would you believe 534px? ;7)

    Perfect. Thanks kindly.
