    playing a flash movie in a css frame

    Hello,

    does anyone know how I can achieve this effect?

    http://onwired.com/portfolio/

    only thing is a flash movie would be inside the frame. I tried using this:

    Code:
    <div style="position:relative; width: 900px; height: 600px;">

    <div style="position: absolute; left: 0;">
    <!-- flash movie goes here -->
    </div>

    <img src="mask.gif" style="position: absolute; z-index: 1;" width="900" height="600" />
    </div>
    but my flash movie keeps getting on top of the mask. BUT, if I put an image instead of a flash movie, the image is display behind the mask correctly.

    thanks!

    Hi,

    This sounds like a flash question and I guess you should be looking at setting the wmode parameter of the movie to transparent or opaque (if I remember correctly). Have a look at the sticky thread in the flash forum.

    The mask will probably need to have a higher z-index than one as that will be the same as the other absolute element in IE..
