    Web Design Company Name

I'm about to officially start a little web design label, and I came up with a name: mindsmith.org.

What do you think about it? Good? Bad?

I like the sound of Mind Smith. But a .org would not be the best TLD for a "little web design label". It also implies something to do with the mind, e.g. psychometric testing, analysis, etc. Doesn't really imply web design to me, unless you plan to do web design in a related niche.

Is there a particular reason for using the word? It doesn't imply web design (not that it really needs to), but you could make it work nicely as a brand. If you use a non-related term, people will ask you what the name stands for, so you have to be ready to give an impressive answer.

Think of the long-term. 2 years down the line would you be comfortable with a name like Biblios? Ask around family and friends (with some luck you can find some people who match your target client profile). Ask them what they think of when they hear the name (and see the branding).
