    Weather on your site

    Hi All,

I'm trying to sort out a weather feed for a clients site. I currently use some code that picks up from the yahoo weather site and displays a corresponding image. However, my client would like something a bit more comprehensive, i've attached a link below that they have sent to me.

    http://www.thistle.com/hotels/st-albans/

As you can see it also displays the temperature and can also display a 5 day forecast.

Could some one point me in the direction of how this was achieved / a tutorial or working model that I could use.

    Many thanks,

    Keith

If you want to implement the exact same script used on the Thistle St. Albans Hotel site, you should be able to go to http://dev.viamichelin.com, sign up for an account, and find the appropriate steps needed in order to get the localized weather function on your own site.

I haven't used ViaMichelin before for such purposes, so I can't rightly vouch for their services, but I have used similar sites like The Weather Network (see http://www.theweathernetwork.com/wea...tre/wcwxbutton). It probably doesn't display enough information for your purposes, but you can give it a look if you're interested.

    Thanks for your reply.

The Weather network website works really well, especially like sites that provide the code for your. Though as you mention it is a bit limited in places.

Out of interest I registered with http://dev.viamichelin.com, but can't seem to find anything relating to customized weather? It all seems to be about maps. (I'm going to put this down to it being Monday, just found the weather section after writing this post)

    Many thanks.
