    any way to target this...?

Is there any way to target a tag that directly precedes the parent tag of a tag with a particular class?

Do you have a link or a code fragment? Are you trying to create a selector?

The issue is that I cannot edit the html. I can only edit the css. Otherwise I would just add selectors to the html.

The tag that I want to target immediately precedes the parent tag of a tag that I can target.

I'm wondering if this is enough to work with, perhaps by using some adjacent or parent discriptors.

It might be enough to work with, but won't know without seeing code.
