Opt In Set up, Any programs?

Hey all, If this is in the wrong section, I apologize and please move.

I need to design an opt in email thing and have no clue what to do,

Is there anywhere I can learn how to do this or a program that will handle this for me.. Basically I need to figure a way to create an opt in page, where it collects their emails... I have no clue how to do that.

    Thanks in advance

What you are asking for is how to create a mailing list. The easiest way to do it is create a form, then validate the information, then insert it into the database.

Search Google for "PHP mailing list tutorial" and you will get a good amount of information.

I am glad that you found what you were looking for.

Just some friendly advice, create some accounts in the major online e-mail hosts like google and yahoo. I noticed from my last member list mailer that I created for a client that they handle HTML e-mails differently. Google for instance handled it fine, MSN and Yahoo each sent it to their spam folders not matter how I arranged it.

I am still looking for a good way to send masses of e-mails that won't get them in the spam folder for them. I also found that local e-mails hosts (like the telephone company in my area) would block any addresses that had hyphens, e.g. "no-reply@domain.com"
