[Need Suggestion] What topic should I blog on?
Hi guys,
I have a nice domain name - JBOMB dot com. I want to create a blog in it, but not really sure about what topic.
I don't want to blog ramblings, rants, and such - I want to blog on specific, niche topic.
I need your suggestions, guys - what topic should I blog that related to the domain name?
I have keen interest in broad topics - business, franchising, entrepreneurship, basketball, soccer, tennis, directory, webmaster, web design, web development.

It feels weird. You bought a domain name without a meaning? Anyway, I would go for webmaster as it can be a general topic for blogging, design and web development.

However, I think that this domain name has a better potential being a blogger than being an investment.

Good choice! So is your domain name an acronym or what? You see, choosing a domain name is very important. I made a big mistake in making my blogspot blogs in choosing their URL since they are very long.
I am now making it up on my WP blog.

J-Bomb could stand for the nuclear war with Iran/Israel and how Iran is trying to get a atomic warhead to launch at Israel, thus making it a Jbomb?

How about a Sports Celebrity Gossip Blog. Blog about whats going in the World of Sports but with a Celebrity Gossip angle. Like how much did MJ have to pay for his Divorce or did Tiger ever date Afro- American woman before he married his Blonde Bombshell wife etc..etc..

Out of the things that interest you - business, franchising, entrepreneurship, basketball, soccer, tennis, directory, webmaster, web design, web development - I can't think of a way that Jbomb seems relevant (although it does have a nice ring to it.)

Pick what you have the most interest in/can write the most about. We can only put out suggestions, but in the end you're the one writing the content.
If you have enough professionalism in tennis, I would go with tennis. There are lots of blogs that teach you how to make money online or similar, but tennis sounds like a good niche.

you might be able to play on the urban dictionary term for 'bomb' which was a term used by urban kids to mean excellent or fantastic. that term is kinda out of style but still funny when older folks use it.

I agree with you. But to add more, make sure that you will choose a topic that you can post consistently. Otherwise, you will end up quitting.

I’m sure when you had bought this domain, you might have few things in your mind regarding niche,
try to recall those things and you can easily know what you’re going to blog about from this domain.

First of all, it's not an acronym (I can't think what JBOMB stands for - lol). I also agree that choosing a topic that I wont quit on even if I have to blog about it for at least 2 years without pay is important
However, from what you suggested, I'd agree to discrat with the sport celeb idea, and serg08's idea on tennis. Let's have a bit research on them.

I think you clearly have a wrong rationale here. Picking a topic that you will blog on is much more important than how and whether it correponds to a certain domain name. If you like the topic youself and your posts are interesting, you will receive your portion of web visitors regardless of the domain name. I personally believe that this is the only way to succeed in blogging.

I think you should blog about pygmies, or maybe rice cookies. Ant-farms could also be an interesting topic to talk about, I think...
