Question Question about the $= operation in CSS3

I'm loving this method however I'm finding it difficult to put the icon at the end of a link that wraps to a second line. Our content producers love long title and link lists which mean a lot of the links break into 2 lines.

Even if I put the icon at the front of the link and align top right the padding doesn't seem to work correctly when the link is on 2 lines. Any ideas?

Can you show an example of what you mean as I'm not quite sure what you are doing exactly?

It depends on how you specify the background attachment. If you want the icon before the link, you might be best off setting background-attachment:left top. If you want the icon after the link background-attachment:right bottom might be better.

Using center for the vertical attachment causes problems if the link wraps over two lines.
