cant say really, WP has some more abilities to customize, while blogger is way easyer to use.

its really where your preference goes

I have just started using blogger and I think it is quite easy to use. I had many individuals recommend it so that is why I went that route. If your unsure just try a few of them and see which works best for you.

Blogger is owned by Google, some speculate it comes with some Google crawl advantages....

I doubt it, but it's easier for the average person to pick up on.

Id say wordpress cause its just as easy to use as the others but you can do pretty much anything with it as a cms so you arent limited if you want to do more.

It really depends on what you're looking for. I've found Blogger to be easier to customize the template and it's free but I tend to use WordPress more frequently (template customization is a paid feature). I've actually found WordPress to be easier to use but neither is very difficult to pick up. From my experience WordPress tends to have a better network for driving traffic and I like their reporting section which shows your popular posts and traffic but it is a bit limited. One thing to keep in mind though is that WordPress uses Google Analytics for their reporting so you are unable to add your own Google Analytics account. If that's a problem then go with Blogger.

Blogger is not more flexible than WordPress. WordPress is literally unlimited as a raw PHP script in its flexibility. You can write your templates without a single WordPress-specific function in the code and still enjoy all the benefits of WordPress managing your URL structure and such... or you can throw in dozens of plugins to easily add functionality without writing a thing.

Agreed, in my opinion: Wordpress > Livejournal > Blogger

See, I would say thats a valid opinion as long as your not saying it's more reliable. Wordpress can be easier to use and more flexible (which it's not necessarily because many similar services are paid). Blogger is just more intuitive and it's owned by Google so it's not going anywhere.

You also have to consider that Automattic is entirely centered around blogging software while Google is not.

I think some people have this mindset that since Google owns Blogger, it means that it has serious power. IMO, Wordpress owns it in every possible way. Dan pretty much summed up my opinion. Wordpress isn't going anywhere either.
