dynamically driven Flash on a CDrom

This is basically an "is it possible?" question...

I know that it is possible for Flash to connect into database-driven backend that could, theoretically, function like a CMS would with other websites. My question is, could that entire thing--a Flash site plus the db that powers it--be ported somehow into a CDrom?

Yes. You need an autorun setup that activates both the display device (whether a standard browser or a flash projector) and a database executeable. You won't be able to save any changed data back to the cd-rom obviously.

There is software out there that provides these facilities (forgotten the name but used this a couple years a go to run a full database driven html site off cd-rom)

You could also use flash + air(database would have to be converted to sqlite) + shu-player
