    flash video player transparency

A client of mine asked me if I could present a video without having the background of the flash player showing, similar to the effect where someone comes walking onto the web page, but all you see is the person and they appear to be walking right over top of the page and the text on the page...like that. It would have to be a video done with a green screen background that could be knocked out.
But I need to know if when I get such a video, can I present the video in the flash player and not have the player be visible.

    anybody know?

Yes you can create a video with Alpha channel and convert it into FLV which can be played in Flash.

In order to make the flash movie transparent you need to make "wmode=transparent" in the html page where the flash movie is embedded.
    Good Luck!

So, in other words, setting wmode to transparent will not only make the swf bg transparent, but also the flash player component as well. Is that right? Or is the flash player transparent to begin with?

    thanks,
