    Question Thoughts on status

    I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how I can maintain status or location from my menu. Currently, the menu is taken from a db. It then prints out to the screen with pointers to a template file. The fields contained in the content db will then populate the template file for each section.

    What I want to achieve is when someone clicks on Projects from the menu, when they go to the template file that now contains info about the projects, the menu item will be highlighted in the menu bar indicating location.

    Here is current script:

    <a href="<?php echo($row['template']); ?>?<?php echo($row['id']); ?>" CLASS="menu_top">
    <?php echo($row['menu_id']); ?></a><font size="1">&nbsp;|&nbsp;</font>
    <?
    }

    ?>

    If you want to see the page in reference:

    Any thoughts on additions are greatly appreciated. This forum is great. I have never been more productive or learned so much before!

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Tim

    you could do it with DHTML. Just give each link an id and then do onclick="getelementbyid['id'].style.color='highlited color'".

    I'm not sure if that's exactly right, but something like that should do.

    Thanks Sketch! I was thinking of that but didn't know if I could implement dhtml around php. I'll give it a try.
