I'm that sick of seeing every single page with the same effects on it! grrrrr

I noticed that there is also a lot of rubbish and broken links in there, so i'm gonna go through all of them, so i'll let you know which ones are actually worth going to

    Edit:

I'm also gonna make the links directly to the tuts page on each site (some of them aren't).

    -Blue Sfear
Kinda cool tuts, doesn't exactly explain them very well though

    -CBT Cafe
Basic stuff, but well set out.

    -Computer Arts
Nice tutorial for making a wallpaper, thats about it though (and it's done on a mac )

    -Deep Space Web
A few good ones (escpecially the pop dots ) not very many good tuts though

    -Designs By Mark
Pretty good range of tutorials, the text effects section is great

    -Deviant Art
Awesome tutorials here, i've never actually seen them before at DA, but there are some really good ones! (not for beginners though).

    -Digital Creativitiy
    Lots of good photo-related tutorials.

    -Dreams Infinity
A really nice and wide ranging collection of tuts

    -elated
Great for people new to photoshop.

    -erks
Got some nice, simple tuts on this site, beginners will like the rounded web tables one.

    -Espresso Graphics
A really extensive list of tuts (lots of photo retouching ones) has tuts for PS 4 and 5 as well

    -Eyeball Design
Excellent tutorials, lot of them too. Mainly for interface design though.

    -Eye Wire
Quite a lot of tuts, a lot of them are just strange and 'pretty effects' ones though.

    -gifart
Some nice unique stuff here, a lot is aimed at web graphics too.

    - Gora Nation
This site touches on a few less know PS features and has some great brush / filter resouces.

    (more comin' )

    Exclamation

Just a notice that the link to my site in that list is old.

Here's the new url if anyone wants to add it: http://photoshopgurus.info/

PS: and to platinum... i don't think you'll find a lot of 'familiar' stuff on my site. A few maybe, but not a lot.

I admire anyone who writes, as sharing knowledge is an incredibly valuable thing.

I visited your site after one of your last articles (which was incredibly outdated) on SitePoint and found it to be a lot of info that didn't seem to teach as much as it could.

I know this shouldn't be a site review, and I also know the info you have is of value, and I don't want this to come across as knocking you as it has taken an enormous amount of effort to compile the info I'm sure.

    Anyways, I'll stop there

    Platinum...
    Thanks for visiting.
Glad you got something from the site.
Hope to perhaps see you around the Forum.

    Jeremy...
Hey that's ok, i understand your viewpoint.
And you're right... there IS some very valuable info there and it DID take a lot of work to compile and serve up.

There is indeed some "seemingly" outdated info on sections of my site. But there are reasons for that. One is that believe it or not, i have folks using my site that are still using PS4 & 5. I get email all the time from these folks. That's one reason why i have left certain tutes in their older forms -- like the ones in the "Sessions" section. Also you have to realize that i've been doing this site since 1996. And i've never seen any reason to just throw away useful info. So it's just been left in there.
The other reason is that i've had to slow my development/maintainance of the site down somewhat because i don't have as much free time as i used to. That's unfortunate for both visitors AND myself. I love working on that site! But real world issues must come first i'm afraid. Hopefully soon i can get back on top of things and reVamp it all again.

Thanks for the interest anyway though; it's appreciated, any form it comes.

PS: Can you be more specific when you say something like this "...and found it to be a lot of info that didn't seem to teach as much as it could.". I'd be interested to know just how you would go about rectifying that point? Thanks.
ALSO... Can you tell me exactly which column you read that seemed out-of-date to you? If i submit an article to anyone that is older, i always check to make sure the info can be used in any current form. Just because the programs mentioned may be older, doesn't mean the info/knowledge is not applicable to modern standards and conventions.

That's the good thing about knowledge... it pretty-much timeless.

PPS: Is your email addy being inserted via .asp into your pages? If not, you may want to use Javascript to encrypt your true email addy. Unless you don't mind the "email spiders" indexing it up when they visit you.
    Nice site btw.

The info that seemed outdated was in fact most of the info in your most recent article to SitePoint. While some of the info on decreasing load times may be relevant to the smallest segment of people, you claimed the "standard" modem speed was 14.4 and thus max page size to remain under the 20 second ceiling was "70Kb" (if memory serves).

Anyways, no I don't encrypt the email address on the site. I have no reason to. I have decent spam filters, and since I write for a variety of sites, everyone knows the catchall address. Besides, if I can write an ASP func in 5 seconds to scramble the email address, a spammer can write a C++ func in 4 to descramble it.

Easy way to make your own sticky threads is to subscribe to it and set it for No Email notify..then all you need to do is go to your My Sitepoint link.
