get control bar to work (was "It's Haunting Me Again. Somebody pleeeeeeease... ")

    Hello Samaritan,

    Thanx for dropping by.

After a tedious 72 hours under monotonous activities, I feel like I can recreate the world, but I can't even get a bloody simple control bar to work on ma flash video.

I am really struggling with the basics and am sure over time, I will get it, however, time is not on my side right now.

Perhaps you or someone can help.

All I want to do, is to deploy a number of video clips on my website.

I want to have a menu with thumbnail video clips in a bar at the bottom of the player which can be loaded by clicking.

I have seen this method in use on several websites (not youtube, please..!) you know what I mean.

Perhaps you can help me out with some sample scripts or even better an example file that i can work around.

I mean what can I say? I must be really dumb. First got the video to play in flash, and now, I can't get the controls to do anything, plus the screenshot is just stuck there.

And please believe me if I say, I have gone over the tutorials @ (gotoandlearn.com/player.php?id=2 ) about 10 times.

It seems it was created in MX and am using CS3 ???? Can anyone point me to the right tutorial?

    Thanx all

Yeah that tutorial ios for AS2. So you should be exporting to AS2. If it's still not working then you have done something wrong somewhere. I've had no problems following that particular tutorial myself.
If you check out the http://www.gotoandlearnforum.com/index.php you will find that people have submitted variations of the player.
