    Question Help on setting up PHP on my computer

    Hi everyone,

    I'm just reading Kenvin's tutorial on "Build your own Database Driven Website using PHP & MySQL." Kevin had written that we need to change the following lines within the php.ini file:

    doc_root = the document root folder of your Web server
    extension_dir = the PHP extension directory

    Firstly, my web server is PWS which resides in the directory of c:\Inetpub.

    Secondly, I downloaded the following and installed it into the directory of c:\php.

    PHP 4.1.2 installer [920Kb] - 12 March 2002
    (CGI only (with fixes), MySQL support built-in, packaged as Windows installer to install and configure PHP, and automatically configure IIS, PWS and Xitami, with manual configuration for other servers. N.B. no external extensions included)

    Could anyone help me on what exact text I should put for these two lines:

    doc_root = the document root folder of your Web server
    extension_dir = the PHP extension directory

    Any help is very much appreciated.

    I think in your case that would be:

    doc_root = c:\Inetpub\www <-- or whatever the root folder in PWS is named
    extension_dir = c:\php\extensions\
