    CSS weird on NS 4.7x in Linux

    The CSS code that I use to format my text looks fine on Netscape 4.7x in Windows, but when I look at it in Linux with the same browser the text is really really really small, almost unreadable.

    This is the code I use now:
    Code:
    .mainText {
            font-size: smaller; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif
    }
    .media {
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: xx-small
    }
    What should I use instead of 'smaller' and 'xx-small' to make it look right on all browsers on all platforms?

    Yep, but then you have the problem of partially sighted users being unable to scale your fonts..........

    basically for NS4.x you should only use px or % as anything else is buggy

    check out here for plenty of bug information for NS and also ways round it. You should also have a look at different css for different browsers thats is the sure fired way to reduce the problems you are getting.

    Thanx for the help everyone. I thought it could be something that I could fix by using different CSS size code. I guess not.
