Don't event get me started on the SEO benefits of WordPress... I know for experience that Google loves WordPress, and have had some excellent indexing performance.

I sound like i'm a salesman here - can I just clarify I am an independent freelance graphic designer and web consultant with NOTHING to do with WordPress core team!!

I personally have got on very well with it and am constantly surprised how easy it is to do stuff in! The development path has been excellent since I've been using it too, with some solid improvements rolled out.

Yep! I too had a brilliant start with Wordpress when it came to SERP's in expecially Google. It gets indexed within a day or 2 for new popular topics.

Mate! I had like you to take a poll on my blog where I am recieving poll for the best blog from various webmasters around the world... And may be you can leave a comment too.

I think Wordpress is the best voted platform for blogging too.

if you wish to generate any revenue from your site, you need to host WordPress on your own domain. You cannot use a free hosted WordPress blog due to the conditions that they impose in this section of their FAQ.

    • Google AdSense, Yahoo/Chitika and other ads are not permitted.
    • Sponsored / paid posts including PayPerPost and ReviewMe are not permitted.
    • Sponsored / paid links are not permitted.
    • Text ads are not permitted.

So for me the Self Hosted Wordpress is the Best Blogging Platform

Thanks for the note. It seems like I luckily bypass a possible legal issue.

Well, I'm not associated with WordPress either, but I sing the praises of WordPress daily. We build websites using WordPress. For me it's an easy decision.

The best part about WordPress that it's easy for our customers to learn and operate. That way the don't need a designer to make updates for them.

I am using Wordpress. With the plugins it rocks! Getting very fast indexed. Also tags, trackbacks etc. works really good. The bad part of it templates are similar to another. When you see a wordpress blog you can easily identify it.
