    permission problem

    http://localhost/proiect/data/ should show me the files and directories in the directory data but it just shows me a Access forbidden! Error 403 page.

    My apache config is :

    <Directory />
    Options FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride All
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
    </Directory>

    <Directory "G:/xampp/htdocs">

    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

    </Directory>

    What should I change?

    Thanks

    You have no index document and directory indexing disabled. Either allow indexing to show list of files or add index.html (or index.php or other specified in your httpd.conf as index document).
    I'm creating trouble-free Apache, PHP, MySQL installer, WITSuite,
    and use it to setup my development environment.
    Demo, support, contact. Questions?

    ciu,

    Apache is NOT an FTP application! Showing files can be dangerous (to a website) so I ensure that Options -Indexes is in the DocumentRoot's .htaccess!

    If you must try to use Apache as a file server, either Options +Indexes or use a PHP script to read, sort and link the files in a directory (BUT MAKE SURE that it does not stray from the selected directory!).

    In other words, use anonymous FTP to share files.

    Regards,
