    Im about to try and learn PHP and i wanted to know what book you guys would recommend me to read?

    i think it will be best for me if i get a book, learn and ask questions here on the way!

    I'd also be interested in any books on the subject you'd all recommend. Does Wrox put one out on the subject?

    Don't you guys read the articles on SitePoint?

    Check out my review of "Professional PHP Programming" from Wrox Press. Don't let the title fool you, it's a great book for learning the language from scratch.

    I can personally testify that PHP is pretty good but more importantly that Professional PHP by Wrox is excellent. Don't go with "Core PHP Programming" or any of those code snippet books...Pro PHP is the way to go.
