    changing Origin IP in PERL

    Hi,

I need to create a tool which will generate a request. But while generating request, it should take origin IP as what i want. I will give Origin IP as input. This is a kind of simulator. Based on the IP address response will differ. Can anyone please help how to give origin IP as input with http request?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Priya.

I believe IPs can be forged, however this is shady practice and is really only usable for (D)DoS attacks. The reason being that if you forge your IP, packets will never come back to you, so you can't use it for anonymous internet access. It's pain in the you-know-what to trace and prevents the attacker's server from being flooded with responses to it's flood of attacks. It can really only be used for malicious activites. Which we will not help you with, not here.
