    how to budget a web design job?

    Hi guys,

    does anybody have a up to date price comparison chart for making budgets regarding the design and making of a CMS Web2.o website

    I suggest you go to few freelance sties. Browse freelance sites and see different web designing projects and look at the budget for these projects.

    Everybody is different, so that might not work well. If you're pricing by the hour, or even just figuring the price based on how many hours it will take you, you need to know how long it will take.

    I may be able to code the layout from PSD files in an hour or two, but it may take you 6. Different people with different levels of skill and talents.

    You need to figure out how long it will take you to do the project and multiply that by your hourly rate to come up with the budget.

    eLance is probably the best known.

    But whenever I outsource, I don't do it through freelancing sites. There you get people who will work for peanuts - but the quality is never that good. I contact people on Sitepoint I see have talent and give them the work.

    Besides, I prefer to pay proper money. I'd rather pay a guy £10,000 to build a site than £100, any day.
