Where can I find services to hold & ship items?

Are there any known services out there where I can find someone / a company to hold some items from me, then have them ship them where I want it?

    Thanks.

    Shipwire

This guide has a list of a lot of other fulfillment companies and also an article on how to choose.

Beley provided some great links for providers and resources. In the event you're doing larger volume you may want to look into a leased warehouse team which can be found all around the nation. For a small business I'm a big fan of Shipwire myself, especially if you have a limited number of skus.

    HI Guys!
I have been using Xpertfulfillment.com for my site. When I started with them last year, I had 16 products (supplements) and shipped around 50 orders per month. They charged me $1.25 per order and $0.50 per item with free packaging. I also had a 10% discount on shipping. Now, I am shipping about 1100 orders per month, and my fees are only $0.85 per order and $0.35 per item, and I negotiated a flat rate on shipping for both ground, and 2 Day delivery. The flat-rate prices basically pay for the fees they charge.

I a big fan of fulfillment, because it let me spend more time growing the company, and the money I saved let me advertise more.

I got a quote from efulfillment service, but they were MUCH higher.
Amazon wanted a % of my sales..
    How are ShipWire's rates?
Does anyone know of a site that compares the costs of different fulfillment companies? I'm curious if my rates are better than most.

No problem.. it was almost a year ago when I had amazon quote, so I would have to dig back. looks like they have a new matrix now.. looks pretty expensive.
