    Exim Mail Queue filling up with bounces

    Hi,

    In my Exim mail queue, there are around 33,000 messages, all of which appear to be "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender" messages.

    The reason for these bounces is because spam is being continuously sent to non-existent addresses on my domain.

    Is there a solution for this?

    I think that maybe it worth to have spam filter and do not allow Exim download them at all. I think that you also can ask the same question on the Exim support forums if they exist to speedup process of getting info.

    We had same problem on one of our servers i asked my team to set up a cron at 3hrs to delete all bounce emails. now its cool. This is mainly because of spamming.
