    HELP!!!!!! with MySQL!!!!!!

    According to Kevin Yank's book(Build your own database driven website with php & mysql)when I'm installing MySQL after I copy my.cnf file to the root of my C:drive I have to open this file in WordPad and look for the line # basedir = d:/mysql/ and remove the '#'. I looked from my-small to my-huge and I couldn't find this line. I have win.2000

    try "Find" in WordPad. Incidentally, you could use any text editor you want if you feel more comfortable.

    The only time you need to so that step is when you install MySql to a directory other then the default directory (c:\MySql)...if you install it to the default directory, you will not have to change that line.
