WP Editing, CSS, and a Newbie

    Hi.

I would love to keep the original format of the Wordpress blog on my site (installed with the assistance of fantastico) but would love to change the background color, from white to maybe grey or black. Does anyone know how to do this, or can you recommend any good tutorials that could walk an idiot like me through it?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

    Stay safe.

    Alex

Go into your Wordpress control panel -> Presentation -> Theme Editor -> click 'Stylesheet' on the right, edit it and save. You might have to chmod your css file to 757/777 if it won't allow you to save.

The stylesheet needs to be CHMOD-ed to 77x, after that you can update that. It it writable.

Lol, thanks for the help thus far guys. Especially the video one. I've been trying to edit as per the instructions here, but it isn't working.

With regards to the CHMOD-ed to 77x, is that a line of code I need to insert? And if so, any idea where?
