I've noticed something about sitepoint though, I'm curious about. I see these kind of threads, in which the obvious is stated for no clear purpose followed by a bunch of "yes I agree" posts -- is this just a "hey look at my signature link!" cluster****? Or is there some other purpose that I'm not seeing?

Uniqueness in our world is a very rare thing! As far as content is concerned we are always told that it has to be unique for every day! But it's impossible!

Good quality content is very important but it also depends on what you are selling and the purpose of your site.

It is really easy to do good and quality content but these are some of the qualities that the audience want to read. Yeah you are right there is a need of research before you can create one.

No, you got it right.

This thread fails the premise of the thread. Most of the posts have zero information value.

That's one reason it's called content, not information. Information has to play a central role in decision making -- and can be user tested. Content need only keep the keywords from running together and keep DIVs from collapsing.

Content is the spacer GIF of the modern layout.

Good and unique content can attract visitors. But if content is interesting also, visitor can enjoy more with the content and it make a good impression.
