Has anyone here ever seen a javascript pre-loader?

    Hi,
So I have this problem with 3d PDF's that are 1MB in size. Adobe 3d does not let people write pre-loaders like Flash. For technical reasons of object communcating with the PDF outside the PDF, I can't embed it into flash.

Is there anyway I can pre-load a PDF file on a webpage with javascript. I've found image pre-loaders but they only work for images, can't find a pre-loader that loads plugin-objects.

You could try doing it with hidden iframes. Each iframe then contains the PDF object.

Problem is, when the PDF plugin loads it can use a lot of processing power and momentarily freeze the browser (it does this with my old machine) and if people can't see that it's because of PDFs, they might wonder what on earth your website is doing to their computers.

Yeah, I thought of that, but it would still freeze the computer browser. My while purpose was to avoid this.

Would not it halt your internet communication?
