Feedback Needed...wireless Customer Service Ratings And Reviews

This is my first site. I found a niche and I am trying to fill it. The site was started in February and is a long way from being done (around 60%, I guess). So tell me what you think? I think/hope you will enjoy it! I have tried to use some groovy technology which is costing me to use it While your there leave a rating and review for your wireless company. So lets hear it folks...destroy me!!!!!!

    Ok... you asked for it.

    1. Get rid of that rotating NEW image
    2. Your logo sux and make your logo as a link back to your "home" page.
    3. I'd say get to the point on your homepage. I think "Ratings & Review" is a better choice as a homepage.
    4. The flash voice over... hm.. NO!!! Take it out~ I don't find it cute.
    5. I have no idea what you're trying to accomplish in the footer area.

Still, as a first site~~ this is a good effort! but as you said, it's not nearly complete in my opinion and it may need some reconstruction.

Cool...Anyone else not like the AI type videos? I thought they were great and fancy additions. I agree the homepage is in disarray. Keep the comments coming. I appreciate it.

    it's a start

agree, the logos and other graphics need to be replaced. Too much content at the bottom.. It's a bit too busy, I don't know what's going on there.
    Good luck on your site.

Well the reason for the "NEW" is because I wanted people to leave ratings and reviews. Did any of you ???? As far as Opera goes....baahhh at least 60% use IE and the rest use Firefox. Not to worried about the less than 5% that use others. Know what i mean

Give it a new logo, have your modules or components or whatever in position coz it seems that all of those is located at the bottom, please dont use that rotating image coz its so annoying, and give it a nice footer

"The office" is really all over the place and kind of looks like you just added every widget you came across. The header feels kind of mid-90s and really doesn't fit with the design.

I think you got the pint about the "New" You may want to consider revising your logo. The dark red is hard to read against the black. Good luck!

Which logo are you talking about ? The GC or the one in the banner? I'm confused...Ok everyone check out the revisions thus far and let me know what you think.

Oh btw, does anyone ever have the suspicion that companies are trying to sabotage their advertising budgets by clicking intentionally on Google, Yahoo, or MSN text ads? I just have some very odd places like Russia. Plus with close to 800 clicks and no sales I am highly suspicious!

I always review based on first impressions. My first impressions were...

    * Unprofessional
    * Looks like someone's just discovered pre-made javascripts and google calenders and so on and decided to go all out and slap all this useless crap at the bottom of the page. I just noticed then that this is your first site, so it's no wonder really (I think we all went through this phase).

I think it's pointless for me to continue on the negative points as there's obviously a lot you need to learn before you'll be able to develop a serious website. The learning process just takes time, and I think you need to look at other sites and note what they're doing well.

I added what I thought the consumers would need when either contacting customer service or while on the site.

The only thing they need is their customer id. The call center monkeys just work from scripts to identify your problem and the solution, they're not going to ask you to google something or check a calendar. The other widgets are of even less use.

What might be useful to the user is the ability to email themselves a record of the call, so you'd have a form that lets them put the company name, the person they're speaking to's name and employee number, the time, a description of the call, expected outcome etc, who promised or offered what arrangement etcetera, so if they have to call back they can quote names, dates and agreements.

    Three advices from Banago:

    1. Change the logo done by photoshop or something similar.
    2. Use only one kind of font; you seem to be using three ones.
    3. Remove that unneeded stuff at the footer of the page. You might need one or two of them, but the rest is a distortion. You can move them the to sitebar or column (what do you call that).

    The rest is good, congratulation!

I hope that things after the fire aren't too bad!
Right! I'm going to just pick one thing:
Your title tag is way too long. It goes right off the end of the top of my browser, let alone getting cut off in the search engine results.
Look at the title tags, they don't need to be an esay, just describe the page and what its about.

Nice Site - hope things following the fire settle down.

Hi there, Im also a newbe. When I first launched my website I new very little about websites and had to rely on others to advise me along the way. Its now been nearly 18 months and Ive finally gained enough knowledge to make informed decisions. My website is ranking really well and I am getting around 50 new members a day. Talk about doing it the hard way though.

I noticed you run reviews but you didn't include the cost of service
You can't compare a service that costs $5.00 with one that costs $25
    or maybe you can
also I did not see the services they provide

as have been mentioned definitly a new logo

    keep everything consistant

i would also move around the ad placement, those ads clumped at the bottom wont perform very well in my opinion.

Yeah, I think the header sucks... why is it even there?

I don't know... you don't need the logo twice especially when the shadows conflict and the entire style is different.

Needs a lot of work but I think its a good start to compete with the gizmo giants.... not sure how well it will do in that market.

Don't expect good reviews on your first site.

    • Everything is scattered around
    • WAY too many ads
    • The logo colours are never meant to go together
    • The contrast between the header and footer is too much
    • The logo... ouch.

Oh, and your attitude towards other browsers is terrible. A site not conforming to the latest browsers is a sign of ignorance.

We created this site to be easy for all people to use
    Stick to what you say.

On top of that, it looks very rough. Try using the Arial font, or anything Sans-Serif.

I agree about the sans-serif font - it would blend the ads better as well.

try using a picture program in the design process, and get a easy "grid" going.
You should also look into semantic codeing, and not using <table> for design purpose.
    Its not too bad.

ps, ehm, i dont think google likes it when there is a million keywords in the meta tag (in fact Google hates it), you should only have 5, max 8, or something like that.
