To have Adsense or Not on your Blog ??

That is the question. You know I have been back and forth with this the last 2 months. At first I had Adsense and then I took it off and now as of yesterday I have it back on.

My Affiliate Products are listed on the side with Banners. And the Adsense I thought would take peeps away from my Page and away from these Affiliate Programs I want them to be a part of. And actually some of the advertisers on Adsense are competitors of my Programs

But after much thought and debating I decided to put Adsense back on. we will see how it goes as far as how it affects my total income.

Have any of you had this dilemma ??

I'd only put Adsense on if the income generated from it warrants it. If you're getting just pennies, why bother?

My traffic has never reached over 50 visitors per day, now reaching about 5 a day at best, and I have earned around $8 over the past month. It's definitely worth trying out, and in the end what harm could it actually do?

I HATE the way adsense looks on my sites, but I LOVE the revenue it brings in. For me, it's a compromise... and I try to overlook how ugly the ads are!

I do use Adsense at the moment on a few sites. I'd consider removing it, but the US$10 or so I get per week out of it is better than nothing. On one of my sites I plan to remove it once I get advertisements for my own products ready - may as well promote my own products/services rather than other peoples. But I don't have any other revenue ideas for my other profit generating sites so I'll stick with Adsense on them for the time being.

As others have said though, if you aren't generating more than a few cents per day then you may as well not bother. I don't bother with ads on my personal blog as I don't want to ruin it with tacky ads simply for a few dollars a month.

Here is my simple rule regarding blogging with adsense:

    1) If your blog is not intent to promote any site, its advisable to have adsense there.
    2) If your blog is intended to promote a certain website, you can still put adsense there BUT there is the tendency that the site in your adsense may be your competitors for your website, specially if your are a marketing products.

Right, you can try testing it to see if any income will be generated.
    If it does, then great.

For me i think its ok to have adsense in your blog because you can even get some revenue generated from there as well. Some more adsense do not need you to pay any fees to join. The ads from adsense just look fines in your blog if your know how to blend it.

    Just my 2 cents.

Another tips: Use Kontera if you'll use Adsense. It doesn't necessarily means you REALLY need to put the two together; as for me, the two doesn't conflict with one another (not unlike Adsense and Widgetbucks)
