    Question Can Javascript Hurt Search Engine Rankings?

    Our web pages are started to be listed in Google with this in the description:

    (Hello, you need to enable JavaScript to use this network. Please check your browser settings or contact your system administrator. ...)

    Should I be worried?

    It's probably because you are using <noscript> tags at the top of your document to notify users that javascript is disabled.

    I would change the position of this notification within the code. You want google to list relevant info so make sure the first paragraph on your page is not a JS-disabled notificaton.

    Quite a few sites have this problem.
