I'm new here. Not sure regarding domain names

    Hello All,

    My question is this.

I have several sites but some are under a sub domain.

Not sure how to sell sites in this regard.

Just need to know, if I have to sell website with regular whole domain name?

Also, is there a simple way to take the web page and place it in new domain name?

Thanks for bearing with me on first posting.

Buy a domain name and 301 the subdomain using htaccess to the new domain. That way you shouldn't lose any rankings / links you may have gotten.

Sites with their own domain name will almost undoubtedly sell better than a site on a subdomain of a domain that the new owner cannot control.

If you do as suggested, I would recommend disclosing that in the listing. Having backlinks that are redirected from a domain that the buyer wouldn't have control over could become an issue were those links to ever stop being redirected to the new url.
