    Post htaccess help

    Hello,

    I am having some problems with .htaccess. I am using Apache 1.3 on Win XP. This is a local server so I do have access to the pc.

    This is what my htaccess file looks like...

    Code:
    AuthUserFile /form/pw/.htpasswd
    AuthGroupFile /dev/null
    AuthName /form/
    AuthType Basic

    <Limit GET POST>
    require valid-user
    </limit>
    If anyone can offer any help I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance!

    It might help if you told us what exactly you were having problems trying to do. But at a guess, remove the / from the AuthName value.

    Hey,

    I am trying to use user authentication with htaccess.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Change the AuthUserFile to reflect the full system path of the .htpasswd file e.g.

    AuthUserFile /home/MYHOMEDIR/MYWEBDIR/form/pw/.htpasswd

    Thanks,
