    wordpress: change category by travel How?

    I want to change the word "category" of product categories by another word, which is not here this category example:

    mydomain.com/blog/category/hotels => I don´t want the word Category

    I want:

    mydomain.com/blog/travel/hotels
    mydomain.com/blog/travel/tourism
    mydomain.com/blog/travel/packages

    I changed in the database but goes wrong, someone knows how to change for another word instead of "category".

    "wp_term_taxonomy" category by travel but on my blog comes as "No categories"

    Goto your WP dashboard and select:

    options > permalinks and after the permalink structure area you can choose a name for the category base (as well as the tag base) Chaneg this to travel and then click update....

    Hope it helps.

    Ok Thank you.

    But i have a problem,

    I changed in the category base with the word "travel", Now all my categories will be within travel.

    Category base: /travel
    Tag base: /travel

    mydomain.com/blog/travel/hotels
    mydomain.com/blog/travel/tourism
    mydomain.com/blog/travel/packages

    Ok very good, But when I click on any of the categories hotels, touurism and packages the page is not working.

    There are errors in some categories for example:

    mydomain.com/blog/travel/tourism

    Error 404 - Not Found

    I think that is .htaccess i changed this line:
    RewriteBase /blog/ = Error 404 - Not Found
    RewriteBase /blog/travel/ = Error 404 - Not Found

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /blog/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress
    What is the problem.

    If your .htaccess is not writable by the server, copy the code that it gives you in the dashboard after you update it (like in my last post) and place that code in the .htaccess file and re upload it to your server.
