    Sounds familiar: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088850/

But this is too easy, I'd just pick some random charities and donate the money.

You'd think so, but how are you sure that the money helped anyone at all... let alone thirty.

Charities shouldn't be chosen at random, ever.

OK semi-random, chosen from the confirmed to be trusted charities.

I would help friends and family which I know that are in financial trouble, then I would use part of the money in investigation projects and the rest in charities including those that deal with animal protection.

I would set up a foundation for my favorite cause. Restrict the use of money in the beginning to a certain amount so it can grow and serve more and more as time goes by

But Ulrike -ALL the money has to be spent within 30 days in order to get the rest of the inheritance. Otherwise you'd end up OWING the estate $1,000,000. (Remember, I said to put the legalities aside - this is just for fun.)

That's why my idea is best... I don't give a damn what 30 people DO with the money, the end result means I can do whatever I CAN for people.

I win, thread over. What's my prize Dan?

Ok, frugality and reason out the window

I will rent an airplane and let the one million dollars in one dollar bills rain down onto a big city where people can spend it for me. No decisions and no accusations toward me that way. It would be as "fair" (whiny voice) as it gets.

    Question of the Day
--> I know it's too early to officially tell, but do you honestly think the Chicago Cubs have a chance of making it to the 2008 World Series given the way they've been playing so far this season, or will they have to endure "100 Years of Shame"?

win? do pigs have wings? 100 years of shame is not enough in my opinion, they should be dressed up in straitjackets and locked away from ordinary people for at least a 1000 years. oh waith, you said honestly...

Odd, I thought I posted a question yesterday. Oh well. I'll post the question today instead.

    Question of the Day
--> Imagine you're about to be stranded on a tropical island for a long time. You can bring one set of clothes, a CD (no CD player) and a book. What would you take with you?

A pair of durable jeans ( I can cut the excess cloth off too make shorts ) And one of those linen waistcoats with lots of pockets

Forget the CD, if there aint a player it doesn't matter.. it's not gonna light fires anyway! lol

Book? Difficult question but I would go with Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, as it is a personal favorite.. If not that, then my next best personal favorite: Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe

I can already imagine this scene...

There's armchair', running up and down the beach bare-backed, in ripped up jeans. Muddy. Face worn with scraggley beard. On his head, and innovated palm-leaf hat to force the boiling heat of Sun from his eyes. He's brandishing his sharpened, wooden spear... tossing it into the water helter skelter... and dancing and jumping and yelling insanely as he hits a fish... to be eaten raw for his dinner.

Meanwhile, ten yards away (across the busy street), a bunch of handsomely dressed locals are liming in a bar talking business.

Any set of clothes in which I look anywhere decent. Shaun's favourite CD and a book as a gift, so he would greet me properly and buy me a drink.
