Post Could not find table stories...

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to ROR and programming, please help. I successfully created the shovell_development database and table stories. I issued a command s = story.new but I got "ActiveRecord:: Statementinvalid: Could not find table stories". How do I resolve this?

    Thanks in advance,
    cmj

    shovell

Hi cmj degorio, welcome to the forums,
I'm new to Ruby too. I've started reading "Build Your Own Ruby On Rails Web Applications". I used InstantRails. The "cookbook" and "typo" apps wouldn't work using http://www.mycookbook.com/ but they worked OK using http://localhost:3001 and http://localhost:3002
But now I can't get the Ruby Console to load so I can start getting into the "shovell" part. Particularly frustrating is that I couldn't find any mention of "system requirements" so I don't even really know if the version I'm trying is possible.
So anyway, you're a little bit ahead of me, but if I figure things out I'll post back.

    cmj,
You did not specify (code) but, be aware that Rails is very sensitive to case.
Your command should be something like: @story = Story.newparams)
