    Escrow service other than escrow.com

    Hello,

I am planning on selling one of my websites, but I cannot use escrow.com because it seems that my country is not an accepted country.

I would like the security of an escrow transaction with this sale, but I have had no luck in finding a good, reputable company that deals with escrowing website sales.

Please help me out, point me to some companies you have worked with.

    Thank you,

    Adrian

    Try www.Sedo.com They're equal to Escrow.com IMO.

Our law firm has a trust setup that takes possession of stuff and cash in escrow, and then divvies it up at the appropriate time. I trust my lawyers to do this for 1K more than I trust Escrow.com (not for any real reason except that when **** goes wrong I can walk over to my lawyers and smack them).

The typical Sitepoint marketplace transaction isn't going to be high-value enough to justify getting lawyers involved. But, if you're talking about spending $500,000 to buy a site, you should follow Jeremy's advice.

For us, anything over 50K qualifies. The lawyers cost about 5K all in. Spending 10% to guarantee 100% satisfaction works. For us.

Don't worry, I get that that's not standard, and that I"m a sample size of 1
