I am planning on selling one of my websites, but I cannot use escrow.com because it seems that my country is not an accepted country.
I would like the security of an escrow transaction with this sale, but I have had no luck in finding a good, reputable company that deals with escrowing website sales.
Please help me out, point me to some companies you have worked with.
Our law firm has a trust setup that takes possession of stuff and cash in escrow, and then divvies it up at the appropriate time. I trust my lawyers to do this for 1K more than I trust Escrow.com (not for any real reason except that when **** goes wrong I can walk over to my lawyers and smack them).
The typical Sitepoint marketplace transaction isn't going to be high-value enough to justify getting lawyers involved. But, if you're talking about spending $500,000 to buy a site, you should follow Jeremy's advice.
