Lacie Firewire to Dell PC?
I have an old external Lacie Firewire hard drive that I want to back up on a Windows PX Terabyte external hard drive. But I don't see any firewire ports on the Dell. However, there is a firewire port on the back of the Terabyte external hard drive. After plugging it in there it the Lacie does not show up.
Is there a correct way to back up my Mac Firewire files on to the Windows machine so I can burn them on to a DVD? Maybe there is a firewire to USB adapter?
Thanks for your help.

Does your Dell have a 4-pin firewire port?
If so you can get a 6-4 pin firewire cable:
If not you can get an external enclosure with usb support that supports
the HD in the Lacie Drive and still use if you want to get a bigger HD.

Well, tbh I've never heard of a firewire to USB adapter/converter, so the easiest way to use firewire-drive would be to get a firewire adapter (PCI-card), which are running really cheap (over here the start at 12 Euro)...
