Looks good. I definately don't see any problems with layout or ease-of-use. It does run a little slow but that might be a function of looking at it from my office during lunch hour when bandwidth can get precious.

Your website is very good, but I think you want to consider how to make friendly for SEO, there is only less text description in your homepage.

White background doesn't mesh with the rest of the site.

The random video postings are also kind of pointless. You already have an assortment of videos already, adding more inane ones in big space doesn't make any sense. You need a better focus to the site rather than just random videos.

    Hi Zoogaman,

I like the site. It looks very functional with not too much distractions.

    Things I've noticed:
    • Is there a way to see movies older than today? Is that where the links besides today point at? It's not very clear if those are subcatagories of today or catagories on their own.
    • The text above the teaser vids sometimes spans two lines and sometiems one. The whole page shifts down or up with it. I'd cut of long titles or just make a fixed height of two lines.
    • I find that the teaser vids change too abrupt. It would be less anoying if it fades in and fades out. Or make little ones, but then it will look more like youtube.
    • The markup to make the list of vids is done with tables. If you use css, your markup will be cleaner and your HTML file a whole lot lighter!
    • The 'upload now' seems to be easily missed. I didn't notice it.
    • In fact, I didn't notice the sign in and sign up buttons in the top right corner. I don't know what the priority of the site is. If you need users to supply content, I'd make a special area to log in.

That's what I can think of right now.

I really did not understand your point in the review of my site.
My point was that such an important position on the page could be better used. You already have a pretty comprehensive selection of videos, the ones especially featured do not seem any more important than the ones scattered on the page.

If you can find a better focus to the site, you can use that area to define what your site's topic is.

    Genral SUn:

ok it is clear to me know. My competition Hulu, Veoh, Crackel, Break, video.yahoo all have some type of main large video images in addition to smaller thumbnails on the home page. this approach seems to work well when getting users to focus on major or popular content on the home page. thanks

    That's not true at all.

In fact they do as I recommended.

I think you had chosen wisely when you let visitors upload clips without registering, it might give you some problems with copyright and stuff like that (I shouldn't be the one to say it, i guess), but it will allow way more conversion rate (uploaded videos per visitors.)

I think that you can do better on the header/navigation menu/logo section.
Also, you should try different kinds of call to action button for the Upload clip button, maybe some will work better?

I would also check if there was a way to put the title of the movie, or at least the tags and/or description into the file name. I think that it can be done, but since I'm no programmer, I have no idea how you can do it, probably should look further into the forums.

    Good luck with your site.

Good media portal! But the quality of the image thumbnails leaves much to be desired.
If you want to do something right, do it yourself!
