    Simple MySql Search

I am trying to build a search function on my site where by a user can enter a vehicle registration number and the search will show results of any matches in the registration column on the database.

Does anyone know of any tutorials as to how I would do this or can you give any tips?

    Many thanks

    Paul

For tutorials on PHP and MySQL just do a google search. There are tons.

The query would be something like this:
    PHP Code:
    $query "SELECT column1, column2, column3
    FROM   tablename
    WHERE registrationnumber =
    $registrationnumber"

You're right, he didn't mention PHP at all.
