    Need advise on buying books

    Hey guys,

I'm planning to grab a couple books from SP.

I'm not a whiz in web language. Just know basic html and some basic php.

    My idea of learning is:

    - To convert a free css template to a working website
    - To convert free css template to a proxy template
    - To be able to design my own template.

So, can you suggest me what book should I start to read first?

Currentl;y in my mind, CSS anthology, PHP anthology.

    Thank you.

PS** Does SP has something like discount?

I know you're looking for advice on specific titles, but I've used O'Reilly's Safari in the past and highly recommend it. You can try a free trial subscription and cancel after your trial period expires. It has a massive library of technology books to choose from. I don't have an active subscription, but I've definitely used it to check out a few books before I commit to buying the hard copy versions. I think you'll like it.

(edit: just realized you meant Sitepoint books, and these aren't published to safari. My apologies if my post is completely irrelevant now.)

    Thanks for your suggestion.

Unfortunately, I will have to put my thought on hold due to the sudden call from my boss asking me to go to a job in India and it would took me 35 days until I can get back home.
