    isapi rewrite and form postback

    Hello all,

What would be the best way to go about sorting out the postback problem of a form when ISAPI rewrite is installed?

    e.g. altering www.example.com/default?page=test&product=test1
    to www.example.com/test/test1.html

when trying to post back on this page it would try to send me to http://www.example.com/test/default?...&product=test1, which does not exists.

I have tried a few examples on the internet, however I also need the example to work with AJAX, any ideas?

You don't have to use ISAPI, you can use a regular old HttpHandler (or technically an HttpHandlerFactory) for rewrites. In the event you need to use another extension like .html, you can just map it to ASP.NET in IIS. I wrote an article on this, at the basic level, here.
