    Review my site www.ourcivilrights.org

    Hello everyone,

    I made this site http://www.ourcivilrights.org/.

This is the first time I have not used tables for layout and its pretty much css site with div's.

Please let me know your opinion and comments for developing / adding features to this site.

    thanks in advance.

You should create a banner for the header like a logo or something and maybe consider a little more color.

An image or two on the main page would be a good idea. All that text makes it look kind of boring.

not to bad but it looks to simple and too basic you should think about adding more graphical images to attract visters attention also you should add a border around the page

It's all pretty much still under construction, so it's difficult to give you feedback.

As has been said, the layout is pretty basic, no images, neither for the layout but also to include in your actual content.

The colour scheme (grey on blue) isn't attracting either, the black font colour for the title doesn't cut it either. Develop a nice looking logo to include there instead of a simple text.

The front page needs more action, a long text (to me this text is more appropriate for the about us section) isn't that interesting to read, you only have 10 seconds at the most to keep a visitor on your site (if he/she stumbled upon it). Again, you'd like to have some images there, list some of your campaings, the calendar (upcoming events), recent news, etc.

At first, you website will not be interested by visitors for sure. But search engines like simple and sincere websites very much.

Hope your website will be get ranked higher in major search engines and then visitors will interest your website fot its ranking and link popularity.

However, don't forget to complete your contents on other inner pages.

The layout is easy to read and has good contrast, and the navigation is nice in that you can get to every page from every other page. I would consider a few more images just to break up the text a little bit and perhaps a font that might be a little easier on the eyes.

What's the critique on? Isn't this just a dreamweaver preset template? I think the only thing you might have changed in the background.

At least add a header to make it a little personalized.

For me, it's rather simple and boring site. You need, first of all add some images, fotos, may be even new colors. And, of course, now it's difficult to find something interesting and useful here, because everything are "Under construction".
    Good luck!

The website is too plain and too simple. You need a better logo.
The website does not have any graphics. You would need to add a few graphics to make it more visually appealing.

I love the colour scheme you used, it's a simple design, but you don't need a busy arcade kind of site for the kind of information you provide. One or two pics would be ok, but I don't think the site is too simple. It's clean and it's easy to navigate. I like it.

hello everyone, thanks for the reviews. The site is in early stages thats why you dont see any logos or pictures. Once we have everything ready, I plan to add images / logos etc.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely make some changes based of the reviews I have got so far.

Well, the layout of the page is very simple and effective. The navigation is easy to use and the categories are divided clearly. I think there should be more pictures among the text. The colours are fine and they give the site a fresh and bright feeling.

The idea of the site needs, of course, users in order to succeed and to become popular.
The site is also a bit low on content, but I'm sure there will be more when you'll get more users.

Nice and clean layout, I like. A logo/brand identity might help your site.

I would also look at reorganizing navigation structure. Everything doesn't need to be in the left rail. Some of those items can go in the footer.

Think about what the main audience will use and put in left rail, then think about what secondary audience will use (or what will be little used) and put in footer.

You've got a good start, now that you've broken free of the tables, but now tweak that CSS a bit and bring in some color and images.
