Rich text format iframe contents into variables..

Sorry for the confusing title...

Basically I have read a tutorial on how to produce a Rich Text Format iframe, similar to the way yahoo and hotmail allow wysiwg formatting to display in real time.

Make sense?

The question is when I have submitted the form that contains the iframe I wish to proceed to another page and be able to reference the contents.

how is this possible?

I can post the article in question and/or my code at a later date....just wondering if I am missing the obvious.....

The article/ code would certainly help but if i understand you correctly you have basically created an online WYSIWYG editor.

Enclose the contents of the editor in <form> tags. Submit the form to another page and then response.write the contents of the form field to the new page.
You could even add the output to a database or write it straight to a file using FSO.

perhaps something like this would work.

<form name="frmEdit" onSubmit="frmEdit.mydoc.value = document.frames['myiframe'].document.body.innerHTML" />
<input type="hidden" name="mydoc" />

<iframe id="myiframe" ...></iframe>

...

<input type="submit" name="action" value="Save" />
</form>

ps: not tested or complete, but might give you a good idea.
