Forms: Printing Background Colors and Images

I've read a lot of threads regarding the printing of background colors and images, but nothing seems to work.

I have an online medical report form with light-gray backgrounds in some of the rows that I need to have printed out.

What is the easiest way of doing this using CSS?

I've tried specifying a background color and using a background image - all to no avail.

This is a feature of most browsers. It's meant so that users can control what's printed. Imaging visiting a page with a blue background and when you go to print it eats up all your blue ink!

In Firefox go to File -> Page Stup -> Options -> Print Background (Colors and images).
