    Positioning

One other quick question (I can't find this information in my "For Dummies" book, or on webmonkey):

How do I position a text link under a graphics link using html or css? The align=bottom code has been deprecated in HTML4.

    Thanks.

    Use a table.

ok seriously I believe the tag you are looking for is vertical-align:

its choices are percent, baseline, bottom, middle, sub, super, text-bottom, text-top, top

    Hope that helps.

Wait, just a text link under an image link? Maybe I'm missing something, but...
    Code:
    <a><img></a><br>
    <a>some text linkage</a>

Oh, and I left the attributes out on purpose so that you could see the structure.

    Thanks, you guys!

I'll look up the vertical align tutorial on web monkey (and the syntax for your suggestion, too, Colon) later today. Gee -- it sure helps to know WHAT to look up.

    You guys are the best.

    Thanks, Maelstrom; thanks, iTec!

I had a great time reading/playing around with alistapart and brainjar re: css positioning. It's still not exactly as I want it (my two images with their two captions are centered at the bottom of my web page, with the captions underneath -- yippee skippee -- but they are one on top of another, not side-by-side. I tried making them an unordered list in an inline class (.inline and .last), but that didn't work; I'll have to deal with it tomorrow).

Thanks, again, for the great references. I'm sure I can figure this stuff out now.

    Cheers.
