Yes, send me $2,995.00 and I will send you my professional training course to teach you how to make millions through the internet working from home...our program is guaranteed to work for you, or your money back!!!

You know, that little spill could prolly make me alot of money scamming people who would believe it and pay the money.

Most companies offering this type of "training" are making their money selling you just general knowledge and ideas on how to use the net to earn money and certainly wouldn't be worth the asking price.

But, many of these companies slick it up and make alot. I saw one recently on late night TV with a couple of girls with big boobs (about to pop out...) claiming their program gives you numerous ecommerce websites that will make you money 24/7

Only thing, they forgot to mention anything about how you go about getting traffic to your sites. What good is an ecommerce site if nobody can find it?

its the technical stuff that bugs me

Making money is easy when you know how. But its the technical stuff that you must learn in order to get there is whats bugging me

I would dearly love to know how to build a website for free.
My son has built all my websites to date and I am getting embarrassed to ask him to do more. So I have looked at 1and1.com and Freewebs. Is there anything else out there?
If I can make money online, then anyone can!

My review of the system I use to make $$$ per month online!

3/ Many web small business's are massively under funded - if you are the same you must have a source of funds. Many, many times "Self-funding" can be a slow boat to nowhere.
4/ Understand where your income is derived from on day 1 of the business - most people place the idea before the income. I'm saying think about it the other way ... find the income then develop the idea!

It's the self-proclaimed gurus telling you that it's a piece of cake making 1K or more a day. The only ones making that amount of money are the gurus themselves, by selling you useless nogood software and other stuff. Making money online requires a lot of time and effort, just like in the real world. And yes if you invest time and effort, it is possible to make a good income from the internet.

Are you talking about website builder software that comes free with certain hosting packages?

The only two ways you can get a website worth having for free, is learning how to do it yourself or getting a very kind person who knows how to make a decent website do it for you for free (your son).

    (in my opinion anyway)

Maybe you should open a new thread? PM me if you do.

Why not ask your son to teach you how to do it?

You might also want to look into open source blog software (Wordpress) or for more complex websites open source content management systems (Joomla, Drupal and Silverstripe).

Well if this is any encouragement, I made $380 passive income today. And basically have spent the entire day surfing the net and working on my own websites. Its not a large sum of money by any means but it sure beats sitting in an office job.

My advice for making money on the net would be..

    1. Do whatever it takes to learn this business.
    2. Find out what works and what doesnt - learn through failure
    3. Find a mentor.
    4. When you have a model that works, develop it and repeat repeat repeat.
    5. Work your **** off.
    6. Always be aware of opportunities.

My near term goal is to make $5000 a month by July/August, which Im very confident I can.

What kind of mentor are we talking about? A business mentor? a Web Designer mentor that will help you with your questions on how to build your own website? Or about becoming a mentor yourself?

    By a mentor I mean...

Someone who has the knowledge and experience when it comes to successful online business. Somone with years of experience that is willing to sit down with you and share their knowledge. Can you imagine how much easier it would be to have 10 years worth of online knowledge shared with you in just a few hours?? How much easier would this make it ???

Im yet to find one myself, but I know one thing is certain.

With the knowledge and experience I have now, I could only imagine it would be worth its weight in gold to someone 'just starting out'

I by no means am anywhere near a mentor, I just know what works for me and I have a strategy in place to continue to expand, learn and create more forms of passive income.

There are many others on SP.com with much, much more experience and knowledge than myself.

As for finding a mentor - that can be the difficult part. I mean, who wants to share years and years of trial and error, only to hand it over to someone else?

I guess you can only ask.

I couldn't agree more with some of the people here who states that hardwork, determination, perseverance, positive mind and a good product will make the cut.

Frankly with all the quick-to-riches schemes and scams rampant nowadays, nothing is more noble, gratifying than old-style hardwork. And if anyone were to found the holy grail of greatly-authenticated awesome money-generating wonder like the fountain of youth, it wouldn't hurt either

    Just IMHO..

I think it depends on your strategies on how to do it. Making money online needs hardwork, its not as easy as we think. Patience and alot of guts is needed to be successful.

lol, of course you CAN, if you do the right thing at the right time in the right way and have a bit of luck. there have been many .com millionaires but that doesnt mean its easy.

if you look at it this way for ecommerce ... where else would you be able to get ... a shop for under £20,000 that everyone can walk through the door from their own home, in any country, that can display all your products, keeps its own accounts, and sell its own products, saving a lot of money in employee costs, and collect its own data instantly on the type of person who is buying what, in what quantitiys and records each customers contact details allowing for targeted marketing campagns, and records stock automatically allowing constant re-stocking of the warehouse at the speed dictated by the sales .... other than on the internet?
